Google, following its previous announcement, has finally started showing in-app purchase price ranges in app listings on the Google Play Store, especially useful for free apps.

The in-app purchase price range, visible in the 'Read more' section of the app listing, shows the range of in-app purchases but does not detail what they are. The section is visible both on the Android and Web versions of Google Play.

As Phonearena points out, Google's idea of displaying an in-app purchase price range means users would still not be able to figure out whether the app is free-to-play, or just a free demo with an in-app purchase to unlock the full version.

Google also appears set to revamp Google Play for Android users in terms of design, guided by the company's Material Design concept. Last month, a report showed a glimpse of what may come with the Google Play app (v5.0).

As per the leaked screenshots, the company seems set to bring a more vivid palette of colours to its already Material Design-inspired Google Play app, along with a richer visual feel. Changes in the Google Play's top bar, Promo pages, and the Google Play icon were also tipped.

Last month Google also confirmed that the return period for Google Play's apps and games is 2 hours. The company also stressed that a user cannot return an app or game more than once.

The latest move by Google, which extends the refund-window on Google Play for apps and games to two-hours, is expected to decrease the number of negative app reviews that are posted by annoyed consumers who in the past were unable to get a refund under the 15-minutes return policy which was rolled out back in 2010.
