According to user reports, Google has started allowing users to pay for the difference shown when they are few bucks short of buying something from Google Play with their Google Play credit balance.

The option seen by users (via Android Police) is shown in a checkbox on the purchase screen, which can also be toggled on and off. In the screenshot shared by the report, the option to pay via PayPal is also seen, and the report adds the difference can also be paid for via credit card or carrier billing. The feature for now seems to be restricted to select users. It just may be that Google is testing the app for now, before it makes more changes and finally rolls it out globally.

Google on Friday introduced the 'Best of 2015' section on Google Play including selections across apps, games, and entertainment like it did last year. Under the new section, Google has listed sub categories namely Best Games of 2015, Best Apps of 2015, 2015 Top-Selling Movies, 2015 Top-Selling Books, and Best of Newsstand 2015. The best apps and games list includes around 50 selections from 2015. All the apps and games listed in the 'Best' section have high star and user ratings.

Last month the search giant announced that it will adjust the lowest price tier for paid apps on Google Play Store in 17 more countries. The Mountain View-based company is extending the pricing changes in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Hungary, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam. The company piloted the program in India, wherein it reduced the lowest price tier from Rs. 50 to Rs. 10. Interestingly, the company recently also adjusted the upper price limit to give developers more flexibility. It increased the upper limit for an app or an IAP from Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 26,000.
