Sony's cross platform mobile gaming service, PlayStation Mobile (PSM) is now live across Sony's devices and certain Android smartphones and tablets. The service is now available in US and Canada and is expected to roll out later in the day to Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain and the UK, with more countries to follow.

If you own several compatible devices, you'll be able to install purchased games on up to three of them under the same SEN (PSN) ID.

Companies like Asus, Fujitsu and Sharp have all recently announced their decision to tie up with PlayStation Mobile. But at present only the Vita, the Xperia smartphone range (Acro, Acro HD, Ion, S and Arc), Sony tablets (S and P) and limited HTC smartphones (One S, X and V) are supported.

Now when you boot up your PS Vita or any other PlayStation Certified Android device, you'll have access to a launch library of over 20 games, ranging from free to $7.49. To access PlayStation Mobile on your Vita, simply find the new tab on the PlayStation Store.

Super Crate Box is probably the most noteworthy title amongst others, but there's more than a handful of games to check out including Wipe!, Revel, Hungry Giraffe, Samurai Beatdown, Beats Slider and Numblast. Sony's first-party studios are also making games for Sony's new cross-platform effort with games like Everybody's Arcade and Beats Trellis.

As a Vita/Android device owner, note that PlayStation Mobile games are eligible for Cross Buy across multiple devices. To find out more about PSM's launch lineup, we highly recommend visiting PSNStores. You can check out developer interviews and their FAQ section for any PSM related queries.
