The caped crusader is coming to iOS and Android! Gameloft has announced an open world mobile game titled The Dark Knight Rises due to release this summer. No official date for release has yet been announced. But we won't be surprised if it came out in time with Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, the movie that concludes the Batman trilogy.

A 35 second teaser trailer of the game showed Batman fighting random thugs on the streets. It opens with the Dark Knight standing on the edge of a building overlooking Gotham city. The trailer is too short to judge on how the gameplay or the story will unfold. But it seems to draw elements from the multi-award wininng Batman Arkham City.

In the past, Gameloft had released a mobile version of Men in Black 3 just a week before the movie's release. More recently it has also announced The Amazing Spiderman for both iOS and Android platforms.

The game will be available for download on both the iOS App Store and Google Play.
