Twitter users were faced issues with accessing their accounts

Twitter went down for some people around the world. People in India were also affected. According to outage tracker DownDetector, the outage started at around 5.10pm IST, and users were reporting of problems with the social media platform till about 7pm. The issue seems to have been fixed now. This was the second Twitter glitch in less than 24 hours. Earlier in the day at around 6am IST, there was a much larger global outage.

Users trying to access their Twitter accounts in India were getting logged out abruptly. The login page threw an error which read, “Something went wrong – it's not your fault. Let's try again.”

There was no immediate statement from Twitter about this. But according to the data from DownDetector, close to 1,000 people in India and around 9,000 people globally had reported a Twitter outage within the hour.

Predictably enough, people who could still access Twitter were posting there to ask if the social network was down.
