About Dhadak Movie (2018)

Dhadak is a 2018 romantic drama that is an official remake of the Marathi film Sairat (a 2016 film), which was loved for its phenomenal love story and power-packed performances.

Set in Rajasthan, two college students Madhukar ( Ishaan Khatter) and Parthavi (Janhvi Kapoor), who belong to different castes of society but fall head over heels in love with each other. They fail to foresee the evils of casteism due to which their families' opposition to their relationship. Despite all this, they battle all odds and go against societal norms to marry each other But fall prey to the horrifying casteism.
