About The Elephant Man Movie

Dr. Frederic Treves (Anthony Hopkins) discovers John Merrick (John Hurt), a heavily disfigured man who is mistreated while working as a side-show freak. Treves invites Merrick into his home, where he discovers that his rough exterior conceals a refined soul, and that Merrick can teach the stodgy British upper class of the time a lesson in dignity.
