  • CD Projekt will be at E3 2018
  • It will show off a role-playing game for PS4 and Xbox One
  • Cyberpunk 2077 is most likely to see a reveal

E3 2018 is from June 12 to June 14 and it seems that developer CD Projekt Red will be showing off Cyberpunk 2077 at the event. According to a listing on the E3 2018 exhibitor website, the company will be present to show off a role-playing game for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. And while it doesn’t mention Cyberpunk 2077 outright, it’s safe to say that unless the company has secretly been working on a new game in the Witcher series (which it has denied), that it’s most definitely going to be Cyberpunk 2077.

Last month it was speculated that Cyberpunk 2077’s marketing rights would be given to Microsoft and it would receive a teaser trailer in addition to a 2019-2020 release window. And while CD Projekt Red’s presence isn’t exactly indicative of this, the fact that the firm is confident to show off the game to the public is a welcome sign.

Before this, the game was in the news for hackers having gotten access to early designs which the developer claimed were “largely unrepresentative of the current vision for the game”.

The Polish studio revealed its intentions to have its long awaited RPG Cyberpunk 2077 out after 2017 and another unnamed big budget triple-A RPG out between 2017 and 2021 — which would put it in striking distance of possible PS5 and next Xbox launch timelines. The latter led many to assume it would be The Witcher 4 but CD Projekt Co-Founder Marcin Iwinski claimed otherwise.

"We are a publicly traded company so we cannot comment on that but I can assure you we are not working on another Witcher," he said.

With CD Projekt RED working on Cyberpunk 2077 and its mystery RPG, Iwinski also hinted that its working on "a new type of video game format previously unexplored by the studio" which could possibly point to its intentions to work on virtual reality.
