The first of Dark Souls 3's two downloadable content (DLC) packs won't arrive until Fall 2016, according to a new report.

The fourth entry in a seminal series from Hidetaka Miyazaki, Dark Souls III, will get its first piece of DLC sometime in the autumn, according to British video gaming site Video Gamer, which is between September and November. There is no word on what will be part of the DLC, or when fans can expect the second of those to arrive.

You can get both the DLCs as part of the Dark Souls III Season Pass which is already available for purchase. For players on Windows PCs, it costs Rs. 619 on top of the Rs. 4,299 price for the game itself, which is the most expensive way to play the game in India, digitally, and the least expensive way to own the DLC. You can get it for Rs. 1,999 on retail, but you'll have to wait until May 3 for that.

If you plan to get the DLCs on either of the current-gen consoles, be prepared to fork over a healthy sum. On the PlayStation 4, the Dark Souls 3 Season Pass comes in at Rs. 2,081 with the game costing Rs. 3,999. Xbox One owners, meanwhile, have to pay the most with the game costing Rs. 3,500 and the Season Pass at Rs. 3,000. Again, you can get both versions on retail come May 3, for Rs. 3,499.

For console owners, that is a ridiculous amount of money for additional content with no details as yet. You are better off waiting to see what it contains before plonking down between Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 3,000. And if you haven't bought the game yet, (read our review of the game and) wait until May 3 to get the retail version for the PC and go with the much cheaper Steam pricing for Dark Souls III Season Pass.
