Fornite and Diablo 3 may soon find their way to the Nintendo Switch. According to industry insider and editor Marcus Sellars, both games are in the works for Nintendo’s hybrid console smash hit.

“Fortnite = Nintendo Switch”, Sellars tweeted. According to Sellars, the battle royale cooperative shooter will release around August or September. “Wouldn’t say fact as it’s not confirmed by the developer but yeah it’s happening,” he said in a later tweet.

Fortnite on the Nintendo Switch should come as no surprise for a host of reasons. Earlier in the year Epic Games Worldwide Creative Director Donald Mustard has openly stated his admiration of the console’s potential for a Fortnite port. Plus, if Doom can make it to the Nintendo Switch, third-parties have no reason not to bring their biggest and best to the console.

As for Diablo 3, Sellars claimed it’s in the works, slotted for a release next year.

“Diablo 3 is in development for the Nintendo Switch and should be out early 2019”, Sellars tweeted. “They are wanting (sic) to implement Local play with multiple Switches.”

Given that Blizzard hasn’t said much about what the Diablo 3 team is up to, we won’t be surprised to see it make its way to the Switch given how well received the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game were.

Sellars’ track record in the past has been good, accurately doling out information on Soul Calibur 6 before it was unveiled. Previously he stated that Call of Duty Black Ops 4 would make it to the Nintendo Switch. Nonetheless, like most rumours, it’s best to adopt a wait and watch approach.
