We are half-way through IPL 2014 and if you've been missing the action, here's how you can use Google's tools to catch all the 20-20 action.

1. Search

The simplest, and most obvious, way to get live updates through Google is to do a quick Web search. Google Knowledge Graph automatically displays live scores or upcoming fixtures if your search for IPL. More specifically, you can search for a particular team to look for its upcoming matches, scores and results of previous games. For example, searching for "Mumbai Indians" will show you their score in a box above the first result. Click the arrow below this box to see results of all Mumbai Indians matches in IPL 2014.

2. Hindi scorecard

Google recently launched Hindi cricket scorecard for IPL. To try this, change your Android phone's language to Hindi and search for IPL 2014 scores. This will show you the match scorecard in Hindi. This also works if you look for team rankings, fixtures, among other statistics. This works on the Web too. Just click here and change language to Hindi. Then search for statistics and the results will appear in Hindi.

3. Google Trends

Want to know which is the hottest IPL 2014 team? Or which player is the most popular? Just head to Google Trends to compare the number of search queries for each player or team. If you want to settle debates on which team is the most popular, just head to Google Trends - you're likely to find a great website for friendly banter with fans of rival teams.
