Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that the Internet giant Google is ready to facilitate the online marketing of products manufactured by rural women under the DWCRA programme in the state.

"Google is ready to facilitate online marketing of products manufactured by as many as 7 lakh Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas (DWCRA) groups. Google has said that it will provide facilities for enabling online marketing of products of DWCRA groups," Naidu said, addressing a gathering at Angara village in East Godavari district.

DWCRA programme was launched by the Centre in the early 1980s under the Integrated Rural Development Programme, which became successful in Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu also referred to the "loot" of sand in East Godavari and West Godavari districts by mafias over the last decade and said severe action will be taken now against the offenders.
