Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday asked state government officials to utilize Information Technology to ensure delivery of e-services to villagers in far flung areas.

Khattar was speaking at the inauguration of a state level workshop on 'e-governance' organised at Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) in Gurgaon.

Advocating implementation of e-governance in all government offices, the Chief Minister said that through this he wanted to further the aim of good governance.

He reassured the staff that none of the services would vanish, but rather all their work would become easier and "you will be able to do your duty efficiently and deliver quickly".

Once that comes into being, a person who attains 18 years of age would be sent voter ID card and birthday wishes, he said, adding every child will be given Aadhaar Number at the time of birth.
