The iPhone 12 Pro is here, and after living with it for a fairly decent amount of time, I think it's time to answer that one burning question — is it worth it? Apple has made choosing between iPhone models even tougher this year by introducing four new models, all sharing similar specifications and features, but at vastly different prices. In India, especially, the price difference between the iPhone 12 series and the iPhone 12 Pro series is massive – and that's a whole separate discussion.
iPhone 12 Pro Summary
iPhone 12 Pro mobile was launched on 13th October 2020. The phone comes with a 6.10-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1170x2532 pixels at a pixel density of 460 pixels per inch (ppi). The display sports Other for protection. iPhone 12 Pro is powered by a hexa-core Apple A14 Bionic processor. The iPhone 12 Pro supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging.
As far as the cameras are concerned, the iPhone 12 Pro on the rear packs a 12-megapixel (f/1.6) primary camera; a 12-megapixel (f/2.4) camera, and a 12-megapixel (f/2.0) camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It sports a 12-megapixel camera on the front for selfies with an f/2.2 aperture.
iPhone 12 Pro is based on iOS 14 and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage. The iPhone 12 Pro is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and eSIM cards. The iPhone 12 Pro measures 146.70 x 71.50 x 7.40mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 189.00 grams. It was launched in Gold, Graphite, Pacific Blue, and Silver colours. It features an IP68 rating for dust and water protection.
Connectivity options on the iPhone 12 Pro include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, Lightning, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) , and 5G. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass/ magnetometer. The iPhone 12 Pro supports face unlock with 3D face recognition.
