  • A new pop-up will let you snooze an update for later
  • You could also pick a time to delay the update further
  • Unfortunately, there is no option to not update at all

Microsoft's Windows 10 Creators Update is in the offing, and it is scheduled to bring a host of changes. The update is bringing a fresh change that will eradicate all your sudden-unasked-for-reboot woes. Windows 10 has a nasty habit of just rebooting without warning when it installs updates. Now, Microsoft is testing a few features with its Windows 10 Insider members to eradicate this annoying aggressive tactic, and the company says the feedback for these changes have been very positive.

Redmond giant Microsoft is testing a new pop-up that lets you snooze an update install for three days allowing you to save all your crucial work in the meantime. Snooze lets you be prepared for the update, and another option called 'Pick a Time' also lets you pick a time for install and reboot. These updates look to relax the aggressive tactics a little bit, if not completely. The third option is 'Restart Now' that lets you install the update immediately if you so prefer. Unfortunately, there is no option to not update at all, and you must choose from one of these three options compulsorily.

Microsoft is looking to bring many new features with the Windows Creators Update sometime this April, and the preview builds have already given us an idea of what's coming. This includes improvements to apps like Microsoft Edge, and introduction of new UI features like Custom Overlay for a more enhanced video calling experience, and Dynamic Lock that lets you lock your PC based on its proximity with your smartphone.
