About the Product: LG OLED55C8PTA Pros: 1. Stunning Picture. Period. 2. Beautiful Upscaling to 4K. 3. Simple and Slick Interface 4. LG Smart Share/Plex works Great. 5. Thumbs up to Audio/Video Codec and HDR Format Support 6. Great value (Samsung Q9FN - Only QLED with FALD, Sony A8F, Panasonic FZ950 are exorbitantly priced) Cons: 1. Underwhelming Sound Output. Awfully Terrible. Necessary to add a surround/stereo system 2. Google Assistant/Amazon Alexa not supported here in India. Laughable that it's still being marketed as ThinQ AI. 3. Poor Native App support on WebOS, especially here in India. The entire app store has a paltry 217 apps. (Even Indian apps like Hotstar, SonyLIV, JioTV, Gaana, Saavn, Ditto, Voot are not available. Ridiculous!!) 4. Insanely expensive Extended Warranty. Considering that the sound is underwhelming, LG should offer discounts on its crazily expensive Soundbars ... especially for the new OLED owners.! If you are quite the discerning Videophile, who has a thing for great visuals - this is a great buy. The cons can be offset with the addition of a Fire TV Stick 4K or by a surround system. However, If you have poor quality media content, or anything less than a 4K/1080p/12Mbps connection, you would be doing a great disservice to this TV. Update: 1. Hotstar coming to WebOS by Jan 2019. Hotstar, SonyLIV work fine on the native browser. 2. Table Mount adds great depth to the downfiring 2.2 Channel sound system by redirecting the sound towards the viewer. Especially with Atmos Sound. 3. Even after the latest update 4.10.06, the ABL adjustment is slower and distracting when watching HDR Content. However, this is not a problem if you set the economy mode to off. Another update 4.10.15 in just less than a month, the issue is resolved. Great swift response from LG. Bravo!

Best TV in the market. Need to be careful with the burn-in and not watch a lot of content with static logos.

if you want a high end TV with the bells and whistles, and the best TV panel and picture quality look no further. bear in mind the same panel iand processor is used in all higher models right up to wallpaper w8. the inbuilt smart features work as advertised, with HDR and dolby vision. do bear in mind you might need to do some calibration to get best colour accuracy. also the sound is adequate, but really if you are getting this sort of TV, you should already have invested in a soundbar or hometheatre.

Worked fine a week and then a dead pixel appeared on the center of the screen, which stays on in bright red colour. Very distracting. Really disappointed of this, for such an expensive tv. Update: After 1 year, the sound has lessened on both the speakers and external outputs. Previously I set only around 15% volume, now I need to go up to 50% for the same audible volume.
