Each week, we explore the applications and gadgets that people from different walks of life love and live by to give you an insight into their technological world. This week, Personally Tech caught up with Panasonic India's Managing Director Manish Sharma, to talk about the gizmos that make him tick.

Sharma tells us that he walks Panasonic, talks Panasonic, eats, sleeps and dreams Panasonic, but he's cheating on the company with an Apple iPad Air. Read on to know more about the apps and gadgets that Sharma depends on.

Describe your technology setup - what computer/ phone/ tablet/ camera/ gaming console - i-Touch/ other gadgets do you use?

Manish Sharma: Computer: I use a Panasonic Ultrabook, and my phone is the Panasonic Eluga U. I use the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3 because it is light weight and has excellent features. Apart from that, I always carry a Lacie hard disk and a Panasonic Power bank. I also rely on my iPad Air to stay connected throughout the day.

What are three apps (mobile/ tablet or PC/ Mac) you couldn't live without?

Manish Sharma: Apps have become an indispensable part of one's life. My personal favorites are: LinkedIn and BBC. The CardioTrainer Pro fitness app also helps me to keep my health regime on track.

What is one gadget (other than your phone) you never travel without?

Manish Sharma: My Panasonic power bank, as it is an important, easy to use gadget which helps me stay connected on the go.

What is your dream gadget/ technology setup?

Manish Sharma: I dream of having handheld devices that can "learn and adapt" to their owner's behaviour.

How has technology changed the way you work?

Manish Sharma: Technology has become a survival mechanism for enhancing effectiveness and productivity. It has become extremely easier to manage travel and work together, which is a boon for people like me.
