HTC Desire 526G+ Dual SIM With Octa-Core SoC Launched, Starting Rs. 10,400

HTC has launched its third Desire-branded smartphone of the month, named Desire 526G+ Dual SIM. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 10,400 for the 8GB storage variant and Rs. 11,400 for 16GB storage version. The 8GB variant will be exclusively available via Snapdeal, while the 16GB variant will be available from major retailers across the country. Both variants will be available to purchase from the last week of January, says HTC.

Besides the two different inbuilt storage sizes, both the HTC Desire 526G+ Dual SIM models share the same specifications. The budget HTC Desire 526G+ Dual SIM, as the name suggests, comes with dual-SIM support, and also includes dual-standby functionality. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with HTC Sense UI, and the firm has not yet announced it will release an Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the smartphone. It features a 4.7-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) display and a pixel density of 234ppi.

The Desire 526G+ Dual SIM packs a 1.7GHz octa-core (unspecified) processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It sports a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The 8GB/ 16GB inbuilt storage on Desire 526G+ Dual SIM is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Connectivity options on the Desire 526G+ Dual SIM smartphone include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and FM radio. A 2000mAh battery backs the handset. It measures at 139.8x69.65x9.8 mm, and weighs 154 grams. It will be available in a Black and White colour variants. HTC is also touting the availability of BlinkFeed, Video Highlights, and Offline Reading mode on the smartphone.

HTC earlier this month also launched the successor to the Desire 310, dubbed the Desire 320, apart from the HTC Desire 826. The Desire 826 is the company's first Desire-branded handset to run Android 5.0 Lollipop. It also features the UltraPixel Selfie Camera.
