  • LG V35 ThinQ packs the latest Snapdragon 845 SoC
  • The phone sports a 6-inch FullVision OLED display
  • It will be rolling out in the US starting in June

LG V35 ThinQ and LG V35+ ThinQ were launched on Wednesday, LG's latest additions to its FullVision premium smartphone series. The only difference in the two variants is the inbuilt storage - 64GB and 128GB, respectively. The smartphone comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, but other than that, it is quite similar to the LG V30S ThinQ. The LG V35 ThinQ sports the same 6-inch FullVision OLED display with HDR10 support. However, there are some improvements in the camera, and it has borrowed the dual 16-megapixel rear camera setup and the Super Bright Camera mode from the LG G7 ThinQ.

The LG V35 ThinQ comes with an AI-based camera that provides suggestions to the user. The company says that it can recognise 19 categories such as pets, food, people, and more, to provide filter options specific to the object and the scene. With the Super Bright Camera mode, the handset is able to automatically identify low-light conditions to capture photos that are roughly "four times brighter than LG G6" in extreme low light, says the company.

Additionally, the LG V35 is MIL-STD 810G compliant and has IP68 water resistance, similar to the company's other flagships. The handset also features the company's signature 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC and other sound enhancements, including DTS:X (with 3D virtualisation up to 7.1 audio).

LG V35 ThinQ availability

The LG V35 ThinQ will be rolling out in the US starting in June followed by Asia, Middle East, and Africa. The smartphone will come in Aurora Black, Platinum Grey colour models. Interestingly, it will be available in Google's own carrier experiment in the US, called Project Fi. As is usual with other LG launches, prices will be detailed at the time of local availability.
