Micromax Bolt A51 is powered by an 832MHz Broadcom single-core processor and comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA display. The smartphone runs on dated Android 2.3.7 (Gingerbread). There is a 1500 mAh battery, which as per the company, gives 4.5 hours of talktime and standby time of 140 hours. For camera there is a 2-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front camera. It is a dual-SIM smartphone that comes with 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal storage with microSD card slot to accommodate up to 32GB cards.
Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Micromax Bolt A51 comes with pre-loaded applications such as MiStore and MiBuddy.
It is the third smartphone in the Bolt Series by Micromax. The first two smartphones in this series were Micromax Bolt A35 and Micromax Bolt A27.
Micromax Bolt A51 will be competing against the likes of Spice Mi-350n, Videocon A22, Karbonn A4 and Intex Aqua Trendy smartphones. All these smartphone run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Spice Mi-350n, Videocon A22 and Intex Aqua Trendy all come with a 3.5-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 320X480 pixels. Karbonn A4 on the other hand comes with a 4-inch display with a 320X480 pixels resolution.
Priced at Rs. 4,999, Spice Mi-350n comes with a 650 MHz processor. Videocon A22 comes with 1 GHz processor with 256MB of RAM and costs Rs. 4,999. Karbonn A4 also comes with a price tag of Rs. 4,990 and is powered by 1GHz processor along with 256MB of RAM. Intex Aqua Trendy packs in a 1GHz Cortex-A9 Processor along with 256MB of RAM and is available for Rs. 4,499.
Micromax had recently launched Micromax A72 Canvas Viva. It sports a 5-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) display and runs on the dated Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It is powered by a 1GHz processor along with 256MB of RAM. The other specifications of this phablet include a 3-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 2,000mAh battery, 2G (EDGE support) and 110 MB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 16GB with microSD card. It is a dual-SIM phablet that supports GSM frequency on both the SIMs and is available for Rs. 6,499.
