Back in November 2011, Adobe had made its stance clear about dropping Flash Player for mobile phones and now the company has given an update on the current state of Flash Player and its compatibility with Android devices in the wake of the Android 4.1 announcement.

Company has stated that Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean will not support Flash Player and it has no plans to bring a compatible version for this operating system. Adobe has also revealed that it will stop the fresh installs of Flash Player from Google Play Store for uncertified devices starting August 15.

The certified devices are those devices, which have passed the extensive testing to ensure that the Flash Player provides a good user experience on that device, and have Flash Player factory installed or via Software update.

The August 15 deadline is also important as it marks the end of access to Flash Player on Android to all the uncertified devices. If you don't have Flash Player on your Android device and want to have it, now is the time to install it.
