  • OnePlus 3 appears to have gone through FCC certiciation.
  • The smartphone is expected to pack a 3000mAh battery.
  • It is expected to be unveiled on June 14.
Ahead of its rumoured launch, the OnePlus 3 has met with several leaks. The latest one comes from the US certification site FCC reaffirming old leaks, whilst also providing some fresh details.

Unlike Chinese telecommunications certification authority Tenaa, FCC is rather discreet and reveals only few specification details. The US certification reveals that the OnePlus will have two variants (mostly distinguished by their storage capacities). Two model numbers OnePlus A3000, and OnePlus A3003 were listed on the site. The documents confirm that the OnePlus 3 will support FDD-LTE 2600 (B7) / 2300 (B30) / 1900 (B2) / 1700 (B4) / 850 (B5) / 700 (B12 / B17) MHz, W-CDMA 1900 (II) / 1700 (IV ) / 850 (V) MHz, CDMA2000 800 (BC0) MHz and GSM 1900/850 MHz network bands.

It also reveals that the OnePlus 3 will pack a 3000mAh battery, and with dimensions measuring in at 151747mm. It is expected to weigh 158.75 grams, and run on Oxygen 3.1.0 based on Android Marshmallow. Apart from LTE, connectivity options include Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth.

Previous leaks have left little to imagination, and the OnePlus 3 is expected to go through a makeover in terms of design. The sandstone back cover and the bulky smartphone, are expected to be replaced by a sleek metal body.

The company is pegged to unveil the OnePlus 3 on June 14, on a virtual space station. OnePlus will be giving away limited Loop VR headsets for Rupee 1 on Amazon India from June 3 to June 7. The smartphone may feature a 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, 16-megapixel rear, 8-megapixel selfie camera, and NFC.
