OnePlus One, the smartphone which is popularly referred to as the '2014 Flagship Killer', might soon be arriving in India.

The company has put up a job listing for the designation of "General Manager - India, Operations." The job listingnotes, "We've seen tremendous interest from India in the OnePlus One, but to enter the market we'll need the help of a local visionary. You will be the sun, the light that leads OnePlus into the Indian market; the centre of orbit for all projects, operations, and service; the ambassador that spreads the OnePlus brand across India like a wildfire."

As of now, the company has not revealed its retail strategy for the Indian market - whether the company will enter via online channels like Xiaomi, or sell the smartphone like it does in China, where consumers need an invite to buy the One.

Last month, the company on its official forum revealed its intentions for the Indian market. Carl, an administrator of the forum had in the post titled "Baby Steps" also claimed that India ranked number 8 on the company's top launch countries list for the OnePlus One.

Over the past months, we've seen tremendous interest from India, despite not having launched there. We have many customers in India purchasing to the US, and then asking a friend to bring it over or trans-shipping it. Some have even purchased the device from scalpers. Looking at our traffic, India ranks number 8, outweighing many of our launch countries. It's safe to say that we're interested in India. Being such a young company, we also know that India is a huge challenge. We're all about creating a great user experience from end to end. We understand that there are lots to learn, consider and set up before we can officially launch in this vast country.

A OnePlus spokeswoman in an emailed statement on Wednesday referred to both the forum post and job description, and acknowledged the company's intentions to take its first steps in the country, "We are taking an active step in entering this very exciting market and would love if you could share this news with your readers."

The OnePlus One was launched in April and started shipping to users in June. The biggest new feature being touted on the OnePlus One is that it runs CyanogenMod 11S, with the 'S' signifying the customisation for the One smartphone.

The OnePlus One features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a 1080x1920 pixel resolution translating to a pixel density of 401ppi. The display boasts of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Other specifications include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5GHz coupled Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM; a 13-megapixel rear IMX214 sensor with six lenses and f/2.0 aperture; a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 3100mAh non-removable battery.
