Redmi 8A price in India starts at Rs. 6,499 and it features a USB Type-C port

Redmi 8A price in India has been revealed during the launch event that just concluded. Xiaomi hosted an online launch show for the official introduction of the phone. India is the first market to get the Redmi 8A as it is yet to be launched in China, Xiaomi's home market, or any other country. The Redmi 8A is a budget smartphone that's taking on the Realme C2 and the Samsung Galaxy M10. Redmi 8A is a budget smartphone and Xiaomi is claiming that it is one of the best phones under Rs. 7,000. All the details about the Redmi 8A can be found below, and we'll be sure to test this smartphone and write a full review in the near future.

Xiaomi also teased the launch of Redmi 8 during this event. The Redmi 8 is another smartphone that Xiaomi has not launched in any other market so far. Redmi 8 price in India or specifications are not known at this point. However, we do know that Redmi 8 is Xiaomi's next smartphone launch for India.

Redmi 8A price in India

Redmi 8A is available in two variants -- 2GB RAM with 32GB storage, and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. Redmi 8A price in India for the 2GB RAM variant is Rs. 6,499 and Redmi 8A 3GB RAM variant price in India is Rs. 6,999. The smartphone will be available from September 29, 11:59am on Flipkart and Mi.com.

Redmi 8A specifications

The Redmi 8A has a single 12-megapixel rear camera but supports portrait mode. Xiaomi has been touting the camera capabilities of the Redmi 8A, and during the launch video, the company kept comparing it with Samsung Galaxy M10, and Realme C2. The Redmi 8A has an 8-megapixel front camera. The smartphone has a splash-proof P2i coating, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front. It has a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a dot notch. The smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery and a USB Type-C port along with 18W fast charging support. The Redmi 8A has Snapdragon 439 SoC. The Redmi 8A features 2GB RAM with 32GB storage on the base variant, and the higher variant has 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. It has a dual-SIM slot along with a dedicated microSD card slot. You can expand the storage by up to 512GB. The Redmi 8A has what Xiaomi calls wireless FM radio, which means you don't need a headset to listen to FM radio stations. Redmi 8A does not have a fingerprint scanner.
