Redmi K90 Pro Max is equipped with a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera

Redmi K90 Pro Max was launched in China on Thursday alongside the Redmi K90. The flagship Redmi K90 Pro Max model is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, along with the company's D2 display chip and a 7,560mAh battery. It sports a 6.9-inch OLED screen, which has a minimum brightness level of 1 nit. On the other hand, the standard Redmi K90 model sports a smaller 6.59-inch display with a 94 percent screen-to-body ratio. While both phones feature a Bose-tuned speaker setup, the Redmi K90 Pro Max model is equipped with 2.1-channel stereo speakers.

Redmi K90 Series Price, Availability

Redmi K90 Pro Max price starts at CNY 3,999 (about Rs. 49,000) for the base variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The higher-end options with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage are priced at CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs. 55,000) and CNY 4,799 (about Rs. 59,000), respectively. The top-of-the-line model with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of inbuilt storage costs CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs. 65,000).

Coming to the standard model, the Redmi K90 price starts at CNY 2,599 (about Rs. 32,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option. Meanwhile, the 16GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 512GB storage, and the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variants are priced at CNY 2,899 (roughly Rs. 35,000), CNY 3,199 (about Rs. 39,000), and CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 43,000), respectively. The most expensive variant costs CNY 3,999 (about Rs. 49,000) and offers 16GB RAM and 1TB onboard storage.

Both phones will be available in China via the company's online store. While the Redmi K90 will be offered in White, Black, Aqua Blue, and Light Purple colourways, the Redmi K90 Pro Max will be sold in Denim, Golden White, and Black (translated from Chinese) colour options.

Redmi K90 Pro Max Specifications

The Redmi K90 Pro Max and Redmi K90 run on the Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The Pro Max model sports a 6.9-inch (1,200×2,608 pixels) OLED display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 480Hz touch sampling rate, 3,500 nits of peak brightness, and a minimum brightness level of 1 nit. The screen also features DCI-P3 wide colour gamut, 68.7 billion colours, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. It also gets a Wet Touch 2.0 support. The handset also gets TSMC's 12nm AI-powered D2 display chip.

Powering the Redmi K90 Pro Max is Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, built on a 3nm process. It features up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage. The highlight of the phone is the Bose-tuned 2.1 triple-speaker stereo system, which includes two stereo speakers and a woofer.

For optics, the Redmi K90 Pro Max carries a triple-rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.31-inch sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera (f/3.0) with 5x optical zoom capability, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.4). The phone is capable of shooting video at 8K/ 30fps. On the front, it features a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

The Redmi K90 Pro packs a 7,560mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. It is also capable of 22.5W wired and wireless reverse charging. It features an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, too. For connectivity, the new handset features 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS, NavIC, and A-GNSS. It measures 163.33×77.82×7.9mm in dimensions, and weighs about 218g.

Redmi K90 Specifications

The Redmi K90 runs on the same operating system (OS) as the Pro Max model. The phone is equipped with a 6.59-inch OLED display with 1,156×2,510 pixels resolution. Other screen features are the same as the Redmi K90 Pro Max. However, the standard model is powered by last year's 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with an Adreno GPU, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of internal storage. The chipset delivers a peak clock speed of 4.32GHz.

For photos and videos, the standard Redmi K90 also carries a triple-rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary camera with a 1/1.55-inch sensor and OIS (f/1.88), a 50-megapixel telephoto camera (f/2.2), and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera (f/2.2). On the front, it gets a 20-megapixel selfie camera. It has the same video-capturing capabilities as the Pro Max model.

The Redmi K90 packs a 7,100mAh battery with 100W wired charging support. Moreover, it also supports 22.5W wired reverse charging. It gets the same connectivity options as the Redmi K90 Pro Max. The handset measures 157.49×75.25×8mm in dimensions, while weighing about 206g.
