Samsung's rumoured new Galaxy J-series smartphone, the Galaxy J1 mini, has been tipped in several leaks. The Samsung Galaxy J1 mini has been spotted on GFXbench listings as well as Zauba listing, and lastly at chipset maker Spreadtrum's database that refers the Galaxy J1 mini name.

According to the GFXBench listing (via GSMArena), the yet-to-be-announced Galaxy J1 mini comes with SM-J105F model number and packs a quad-core Spreadtrum (SC8830) processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It is said to feature a 4.3-inch 480x800 pixels display; include 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of inbuilt storage. The new Samsung Galaxy J1 mini is further said to sport a 5-megapixel rear camera alongside a 0.3-megapixel front camera.

In a separate leak, the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based J1 mini was also spotted at an Indian import/ export site, Zauba, listed as shipped in November with model number SM-J105F. The smartphones were shipped from South Korea, and had a declared value of Rs. 3,368. To be noted is that import/ export website price listings are only declared values, and usually are not accurate reflections of actual market price.

Lastly, chipset maker Spreadtrum appears to have confirmed the Samsung Galaxy J1 mini's existence by listing the handset in its database.

Samsung in India markets its Galaxy J-series as entry-level 4G smartphones. We can expect the Galaxy J1 mini to support 4G as well. The company so far has launched the Galaxy J1 in India at Rs. 7,190; the Galaxy J1 Ace was priced at Rs. 6,300, and lastly, the Galaxy J2 smartphone, which was launched in September, went on sale at Rs. 8,490. The Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 were separately launched in India back in July. The company earlier this month in China introduced the Galaxy J3.
