  • The new price tag is applicable to both offline and online channels
  • Vivo V5s was launched in April at Rs. 18,990
  • It's powered by MediaTek MT6750 SoC and has 4GB of RAM

The Vivo V5s has received a permanent price cut in India and will now be available for a new price tag of Rs. 15,990. The Vivo V5s, originally launched in April at a price of Rs. 18,990, had received its first official price cut to Rs. 17,990, back in July this year.

The revised pricing of Rs. 15,990 seems to be an attempt by the Chinese phone maker to get closer to the sub-15,000 market in India, where players like Xiaomi and Oppo reign supreme. On Sunday, the Xiaomi Mi A1 got an official price cut and is now down to Rs. 13,999, applicable on purchases via mi.com and Flipkart.

Flipkart currently lists the Vivo V5s at a price of Rs. 17,990. The listing is expected to be updated with revised pricing in the coming days. Mahesh Telecom, a retailer for Vivo Mobiles, posted the revised pricing on Twitter, and a company representative confirmed the new pricing to Gadgets 360.
