The latest version of Apple's operating system for smartphones and tablets - iOS 11 - is here. That gives us a fantastic opportunity to talk about the platform and the direction in which Apple is heading. To do that, games editor Rishi Alwani and friend of the podcast Mikhail Madnani join host Pranay Parab and talk about their experiences with iOS 11. This begins with the biggest change that most people will notice - the App Store.

The App Store has received a radical transformation on iOS 11 and Apple has taken curation to the next level. Not only do we get recommended apps and games but it also features developer interviews and in-depth tips and tricks for many apps. Mikhail and Rishi air their thoughts about the revamped App Store and what it means for developers. Rishi talks about user acquisition cost and how this will impact that, while Mikhail compares it with app stores on other platforms.

We then discuss the second big new announcement - Files. This is an app that allows you to access all your cloud and local storage apps. Mikhail and Pranay talk about whether this is indeed the file manager app that some people have been wishing for on iOS. Then we discuss where Files could be going in the future and whether it's going to prove to be useful on iOS 11.
