Airtel's New 'Double Data' Prepaid Packs Offer Extra Data at Night

Airtel on Wednesday announced the launch of new 'Double Data' packs for prepaid users that provide additional data benefits at night. The company in a press statement said with the new data packs, customers will be able to save up to 30 percent on recharges when compared to existing packs.

In its statement, Airtel said the additional data benefits at night "effectively double the data limits" for customers. The company explained that currently, a Rs. 259 prepaid data pack offers 1GB of 3G/4G data with a validity of 28 days. With the new double data pack of Rs. 296, customers will get 2GB data (1GB 3G/4G regular + 1GB night).

Plans range from Rs. 186 for 400MB regular + 400MB night, to Rs. 3,346 for 20GB regular + 20GB night. Plan rates may vary from to circle, Airtel cautions, adding that night times are counted between 12am and 6am.
