Videocon Telecom plans to start its 4G mobile services in some circles, including Punjab, by the end of this year, company's Director and CEO Arvind Bali said on Monday.

"By end of this year or latest by end of this financial year, we will launch 4G services in some circles," Bali told reporters in Chandigarh.

The 4G services will be launched including in Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh.

"We will be selling 4G at lesser than 2G rates," he said replying to a question, on the sidelines of company's youth engagement programme called 'Young Manch' for which Videocon has roped in Miss India-World-2015 Aditi Arya, who was also present.

Asked if the infrastructure was in place for the rollout of 4G services, he said the core service has been upgraded and the "radios over towers need to be replaced".
