BenQ launches full-HD short-throw video projectors starting Rs. 1,00,000

BenQ has launched the "world's first Full-HD short-throw video projectors" in the form of the W1070 and W1080ST at CES 2013, simultaneously followed by an India launch as well. They're priced at Rs. 1,00,000 and Rs. 1,10,000 respectively and are now available across the country.

The BenQ W1080ST is capable of projecting a 100-inch 1080p (1920x1080) quality picture within a short distance of just 1.5m,thereby saving more space allowing users to experience motion sensing games more comfortably.

Both projectors support multiple forms of 3D such as Blu-ray, 3D broadcasting, video games and NVIDIA 3DTV PC connectivity. The  projectors boast a contrast ratio of 10000:1 and a high 2000 ANSI lumen brightness.

They come integrated with 10W speakers and 2HDMI 1.4 connectivity ports. They also come with the SmartEco technology that can save up to 70% of lamp power consumption. They claim to offer 6000 hours of lamp life in Eco mode.
 
Additionally, the W1070 and W1080ST are ISFccc-certified that enables viewers to experience a perfectly calibrated picture along with two optimised modes - ISF Day and ISF Night.

BenQ had launched the GP10 720P LED projector in October last year. It comes with LED projection technology, 720p HD-ready short-throw projection, 30000 hrs. LED Light Source, 3D-ready, 550 ANSI lumen brightness, optional detachable DVD player, HDMI multimedia connectivity, USB multiple format support for movies, pictures & music, Wireless Display, SD card slot, and two built-in 3W stereo speakers with SRS. GP10 also comes with optional detachable DVD player.

Furthermore, the GP10 is capable of projecting a big 160-inch 720p HD-quality picture and weighs 1.5kg. It is LED-powered with an enhanced 550 ANSI lumen brightness, 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 100% NTSC wide colour gamut performance.
