Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Revealed at PlayStation Experience 2016

At PlayStation Experience 2016 (PSX)— Sony’s yearly event, the company revealed Uncharted Lost Legacy. Developed by series creator Naughty Dog, it follows the exploits of fan favourites Chloe Frazer from Uncharted 2 and Nadine Ross from Uncharted 4.

Naughty Dog is calling it the first single-player standalone story chapter in the Uncharted franchise. Much like Infamous First Light which did not require Infamous Second Son, it seems like you won’t need Uncharted 4 to play it.

A rather generous reveal trailer showed off stealth gameplay, lock picking, and what appears to be fluid, visceral combat. What’s more is that it seems to take place in India. The setting showed off what appeared to be Indian soldiers talking in Hindi, in an area that looked to be under army curfew.

It will be interesting to see what else Naughty Dog adds to the mix. Considering that it has put an end to the adventures of series protagonist Nathan Drake.

In our review we found that while Uncharted 4 is not perfect with creases in its well-worn formula cropping up from time to time. But with a welcome change in composition of its base feature set, it proves the series can still be relevant despite a few missteps.
