HTC One X9 Review

  • Good
  • Metal body
  • Good display
  • Dual BoomSound speakers
  • Bad
  • Poor low-light camera performance
  • Slightly overpriced
  • Disappointing battery life

HTC has been able to do well in the premium segment with its One series of Android smartphones, and more recently with the HTC 10, which also scored well in our review. The Taiwanese company has, however, faced stiff challenges in the mid-range segment from the likes of OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Oppo.

HTC One X9 Summary

The metal-bodied HTC One X9 has a decent display and dual BoomSound speakers, which make it a great multimedia phone. The SenseUI skin is easy to use, and performance is generally fluid for daily use. For shutterbugs, the camera supports 4K video recording and RAW format support. However, battery life is weak. The One X9 therefore feels slightly overpriced for what you get.
