Dropbox seems all set to roll-out a new feature that allows users to maintain both personal and corporate accounts next month, if a recent report is to be believed.

The Verge has learned that the popular cloud storage company has scheduled an event for 9 April 2014, where it will be announcing a new feature which focuses more on file-sharing solution for corporate customer.

The report claims to have access to a notification from the company to Dropbox for Business product users that informed them of an upcoming feature that will allow users to access personal and business files without logging in or out of the respective accounts.

Notably, Dropbox first announced the feature in November; however, never revealed the roll-out time for the feature. The move by the file-sharing service has been said to let Dropbox users store files in split accounts in order to separate their personal and professional lives.

The report also notes that Dropbox has plans to introduce new admin tools at the 9 April event. Dropbox for Business, which is usually controlled by companies' IT admins, is expected to receive new security tools that include tracking files that have been moved or even opened, as well as tools that will allow admins to remotely clean files from connected mobile devices.

Earlier in March, Google started a new price war by lowering the prices of paid plans of its Drive cloud storage service. The new Google Drive storage prices are way below what OneDrive and Dropbox charge.

Microsoft's recently rebranded OneDrive costs $25 (Rs. 1,500 approximately) per year for only 50GB storage, while 100GB of OneDrive storage space costs about $50 (Rs. 3,000 approximately) per year. Dropbox charges $9.99 (Rs. 600 approximately) a month - or $99 (Rs. 6,000 approximately) a year if paid annually - for 100GB of storage.

In contrast, Google's new Drive cloud storage plans charge $1.99 (Rs. 120 approximately) per month for 100GB storage (previously $4.99 per month), $9.99 (Rs. 600 approximately) per month for 1TB storage (previously $49.99), and $99.99 (Rs. 6,000 approximately) per month for 10TB storage.
