If you are a fan of Google Allo messaging app, you might not be thrilled to hear the latest news regarding the platform. The search giant has now announced that Google Allo's Web client will be made available in "few more weeks." To recall, the company said in May that the public release of the Web client was just a month or two away.

In response to a query on Twitter, Amit Fulay, head of Google Allo, said that the company was working on the Web client of Google Allo and that it will take a "few more weeks." Nick Fox, VP, Communications Products at Google, said in a tweet in May: "I'm using Web client every day and loving it. Team is working hard to get it out ASAP [As Soon As Possible], but we're still a month or two from public release."

Earlier in April, Allo 9.0 update brought along hints to how the Allo Web client will work. Just like WhatsApp, Allo version 9.0 had options for pairing the smartphone with the Web client by scanning a QR code. The leaked screenshots further hinted that users will be able to use a text code method to pair the device.

Google announced that it is working on a Web client for Allo app back in February this year and through its sneak preview, it showed that the Web client will support same features as Allo's mobile app. Some of these features include Google Assistant, Smart Replies, and stickers.
