Microsoft in February started testing a premium version of Outlook.com called Outlook Premium with a limited number of users. However, at that time it said the service was "not an existing offering." It also did not reveal for how much it would cost. However, a report now reveals that the Redmond-based tech giant's Outlook Premium service can be tested via an invite with a $3.99 price point.

As spotted by Paul Thurrott, the updated landing page of the Outlook Premium will give users the option to have the first year of service free, before paying for premium features. However, he also predicts that since the Outlook Premium is still a pilot programme, the price might change in the future.

The new version of Outlook.com enables users to set up five new custom domain accounts. It is worth noting that Microsoft back in 2014 removed the particular feature from Outlook.com. For the price of $3.99 per month, users would get ad-free inbox, better calendar sharing, and other premium features.

It is worth mentioning that the personalised email domains created by users would not be renewed along with their Office 365 subscription. Users would have to visit GoDaddy, Microsoft's partner for Outlook Premium.

Microsoft in February rolled out its revamped Outlook.com with new features to users. The new website includes loads of features, the highlight of which is the inclusion of the Giphy add-in. The new Outlook.com is based on Office 365 infrastructure and includes all the recently added Office 365 features including the ability to automatically add flight confirmations to a user's calendar, a smarter address book, and more.
