As Kapil Sibal's bid to have Google and Facebook screen user content is met with widespread outrage, US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton speaks on the freedom of the Internet, live from Hague, Netherlands.
 
Yesterday, a spokesperson for the US State Department said: "We call on the global community to protect freedom of expression, association, and assembly in the online world as we would in the real world. The same principles apply," also adding that this was not specific to India.
 
The live webcast is being streamed all over the planet via the American Embassy's official Facebook page.
