Asus ZenFone Smartphones Price Cut in India

Asus India on Thursday announced permanent price cuts for seven of its smartphones in the ZenFone smartphone series. These include ZenFone 3 (5.2), ZenFone 3 (5.5), ZenFone Max, ZenFone 3 Max (5.2), ZenFone 3 Max (5.5), ZenFone Go (5.0), and ZenFone Go (5.5). The new prices will be applicable across Asus' online and offline partners (including Asus Exclusive Stores) in India.

As per the announcement from Asus India, the Asus ZenFone (ZE520KL) will now be available at a price of Rs. 11,999, down from the earlier reduced price of Rs. 15,999 - however, Asus says the phone was selling for Rs. 13,999 prior to the latest price cut. The ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) will have a new price tag of Rs. 14,999, down from Rs. 16,999. The ZenFone 3 Max (ZC520TL), earlier available in India at Rs. 9,999, will now be available for a price of Rs. 8,499; the ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) will be sold for a new price of Rs. 9,999, down from its launch price of Rs. 12,999; the ZenFone Max (ZC550KL) will be available for Rs. 7,499, down from the previous discounted price of Rs. 7,999.

Other budget smartphones from the Asus ZenFone Go series have also received a price cut. The ZenFone Go 5.0 will be priced at Rs. 6,499, down from an advertised price of Rs. 7,999, while the ZenFone Go 5.5 will bear a new price tag of Rs. 6,999, down from the launch price of Rs. 8,499.

We plan to have aggressive pricing to make ZenFones the most preferred smartphone choice for the Indian Consumer," said Peter Chang, Region Head - South Asia & Country Manager for Asus India.
