Gionee P2S With 4-inch Display, Dual-SIM Support Launched at Rs. 6,499

Gionee has launched a new budget Android smartphone for the Indian market, the Gionee P2S, priced at Rs. 6,499. The smartphone is available and can be purchased from Gionee's official online store.

The Gionee P2S is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device with dual standby support. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box and features a 4.0-inch (480x800 pixels) WVGA display with 16 million colours support.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor with an ARM Mali 400 MP GPU, coupled with 512MB of RAM. The Gionee P2S comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD.

It sports an 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary VGA (0.3-megapixel) front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, the Gionee P2S includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS and Bluetooth.

The P2S smartphone packs a 1600mAh battery, which according to the official listing, delivers up to 12.5 hours of talk time on 2G and up to 9 hours of talk time on 3G. The Gionee P2S smartphone measures 124x64x9.3mm and weighs 124 grams. It is available in four different colours - White, Black, Blue, and Pink.

Earlier the Chinese company had launched a new CTRL V-series smartphone in India, the Gionee CTRL V5, at Rs. 12,999. The smartphone is also available for purchase via the company's online store.

The CTRL V5 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device with dual standby support. It runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box and features a 4.7-inch (540x960 pixels) qHD IPS display.

The CTRL V5 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6582V) processor with a Mali 400 GPU, and 1GB of RAM. The CTRL V5 comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD (up to 32GB).
