Honor 7X to Be Available in Open Sales via Amazon India From Saturday

Honor 7X, launched in India earlier this month, has thus far seen three flash sales in the country. Available exclusively via Amazon India, the Honor 7X received more than a million registrations for these sales, the Huawei brand revealed in a press statement on Friday. Now, the company from Saturday will make the smartphone available to purchase in an open sale, not requiring users to register or queue to buy the smartphone at a particular time of day.

Commenting on the decision to offer the Honor 7X in India in open sales, P Sanjeev, Vice President Sales, Huawei India - Consumer Business Group, said, "After three blockbuster sales, we have received many requests for another sale for our Honor 7X and are humbled by the response received. Owing to a great response we had extended the sale till 4 pm in the last flash sale held yesterday and have now decided to go ahead with an open sale. For our consumers who could not buy the device during the previous flash sale(s), can now get their hands on the global bestseller on Amazon.in starting 23 December."

Honor 7X price in India

The Honor 7X price in India starts at Rs. 12,999 for the 32GB storage variant. The 64GB variant on the other hand, is priced at Rs. 15,999. Both variants are available in Black, Blue, and Gold colour variants. Offers highlighted by Amazon include no-cost EMIs, 80 percent off on Kindle ebooks up to Rs. 300, and, a bundled Airtel data offer giving up to 90GB data free.

 

For prepaid users, the Airtel offer on the Honor 7X gives an extra benefit of 15GB 3G/4G data per recharge for 6 recharges (on Rs. 349 prepaid recharge). For postpaid users, users get 15GB 3G/4G data additional per month for 6 months on postpaid plan of Infinity 499 and above.

Honor 7X specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor 7X runs on EMUI 5.1 that's based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It sports a 5.93-inch full-HD+ (1080x2160 pixels) IPS display, and runs on a HiSilicon Kirin 659 octa-core SoC with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz, coupled with 4GB of RAM.

On the rear panel, the Honor 7X sports a dual camera setup - comprising a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, complete with PDAF and an LED flash. On the front, it bears an 8-megapixel camera. As we mentioned, it will be available in 32GB and 64GB connectivity options, expandable via microSD card (256GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.

Connectivity options offered by the Honor 7X include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, a fingerprint sensor (on the rear panel), and proximity sensor. It measures 156.5x75.3x7.6mm and weighs 165 grams.
