Huawei Ascend P1 LTE, that was unveiled by Airtel back in November last year as 'India's first 4G smartphone', has landed on Amazon US with no signs of it going on sale in India yet. The phone is listed on Amazon US as Huawei U9200 Ascend P1 and costs $449.99 for the factory unlocked, contract-free version.

The smartphone is powered by 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor alongside 1GB RAM. It comes with 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display with Gorilla Glass 2, 4GB internal storage (expandable by 32GB), and 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash. The Huawei Ascend P1 LTE runs Android 4.0 and is powered by a 2,000mAh battery.

Huawei isn't known to launch its high-end devices in the US, so it is a bit of surprise to see it listed for sale in the country. The phone was first showcased at CES 2012, and with CES 2013 almost here, the phone is yet to go on sale in markets like India.

As mentioned earlier, Airtel had announced the phone back in November, and said the phone would be specially equipped to use Circuit Switched Voice Fall Back technology to support voice calls over 3G, as under the current 4G license, Airtel can only provide 4G data services.

Huawei is gearing up for CES this year where it is expected to launch the Ascend Mate, Ascend D2 and W1. The Huawei Ascend Mate is an Android device expected to feature a 6.1-inch full-HD screen. The phone is rumoured to be powered by Huawei's own 1.8GHz HISilicon K3V3 quad-core chip, and pack in a 4,000 mAh battery. The Android-powered Huawei Ascend D2 will likely feature a 5-inch display and come with a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. W1 is expected to be the much-delayed Windows Phone device by Huawei, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor alongside a 2,000 mAh battery.
