Huawei's Honor Devices to Now Be Available Offline in India via Zopper

Huawei Terminal's online-only smartphone brand, Honor, is all set to go offline with a partnership with Zopper, a local marketplace for consumer durables and home appliances.

With this partnership, the company plans to expand the availability of its Honor devices through more channels apart from online. According to Honor, the partnership will allow its devices to be available through 267 outlets in Delhi NCR( Gurgaon, Faridabad), Chennai, Vellore, Pondicherry, and Bengaluru.

Zopper has also announced a 5 percent cashback on purchase of Honor 6 and Honor 4X smartphones till Thursday. The app-based service clears that consumers will get maximum cashback amount per transaction is 5 percent of invoice value or Rs. 750 whichever is less. Additionally, consumers will be also given 1-year free accidental or liquid damage cover bundled with all Honor smartphones from Zopper.

Currently, Zopper will be retailing the Honor 4X priced at 9,999 and will be available in both Black and White variants. The Honor 6 will be available at 14,999. For those unaware, Zopper app allows consumers to choose the retailer with the best price for a product.

Notably, this is not the first time that Huawei's Honor brand has been made available via offline channels in India. The brand in June this year tied up with Sangeetha Mobile, a retail chain in South India, to sell the Honor Holly smartphone.

Commenting on the announcement, Allen Wang, President of Consumer Business Group, Huawei India said, "We are very encouraged with the response we have received for our Honor smartphones in India, including the Honor 4X, Honor 6 Plus and Honor 7. To reinforce our commitment towards our customers in India, and allow a higher level of access to Honor smartphones, we have decided to introduce Honor smartphones in the offline sales channel, which starts with the tie-up with Zopper, which allow customers to choose the retailer offering the best price for a product."
