LeEco has decided to enter the US market this fall. The Chinese company after tipping its toes into the Indian market has now decided to make its way to the big competitive market in the West - or more specifically, the US.

Word of the company's plans comes from the company's PR Director Todd Witkemper himself. He confirmed to SlashGear that LeEco is hiring employees in the US, and is looking to launch sometime in the fall. The details or the specific timeline of launch has not been disclosed. Witkemper, however, notes that more info will be rolled out as and when the company gains a bit of momentum in its efforts to set up shop in the US.

LeEco is a relatively new company, and was only founded in 2004 by Jia Yueting. The company made its footprints in China through the online video market (it was formerly called LeTV). LeEco offers live-streaming, e-commerce, cloud, smartphones, TV set-top boxes, and smart TVs among other products and services. Last year it released four smartphones in China - the Le 1, Le 1 Pro, Le Max and Le 1s - and entered into the competitive segment. It entered India in January this year with its Le Max (Review) and Le 1s (Review) smartphones.

The Le Max 2 is priced at Rs. 22,999 for its 4GB RAM/32GB storage variant and Rs. 29,999 for its 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant. In comparison, the Le 2 smartphone is priced at Rs. 11,999. Registrations for both the smartphones began today on both Flipkart and LeMall, the company's recently launched e-commerce website. For Le 2, registrations would be open till 11am IST and for Le Max 2, registrations would be open till 1pm IST on June 28. The sale of Le 2 will begin at 12pm while for Le Max 2, it will begin at 2pm the same day.
