Lenovo RocStar (A319) Music-Focused Smartphone Launched at Rs. 6,499

Lenovo on Thursday launched its new music-focused smartphone in the Indian market, the RocStar (A319), at Rs. 6,499. The smartphone features Dolby Digital Plus audio, and comes with what the company is calling "superior quality" earphones.

The Lenovo RocStar (A319) budget smartphone is available to buy from the company website, where it is listed with shipping from October 28 and a price of Rs. 6,120, apart from 1,400 Lenovo retail outlets in India.

The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and features a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) display. The RocStar (A319) is powered by a dual-core MediaTek (MT6572) processor clocked at 1.3GHz, clubbed with 512MB of RAM. There is 4GB of built-in storage onboard, which can be further expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

The dual-SIM smartphone sports a 5-megapixel fixed focus rear camera with flash, while also housing a 2-megapixel front camera. The Lenovo RocStar (A319) packs a 1500mAh Li-ion battery that is rated to deliver up to 15.5 days of standby time, up to 4 hours talk time on 2G networks, and up to 10 hours of continuous music playback. The handset comes with 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5mm audio port, and Wi-Fi connectivity options. The Lenovo RocStar (A319) measures 123.5x63.8x10.2mm and is available in Black, White and Red colour variants.

Additionally, the RocStar (A319) comes pre-installed with some proprietary DOit apps, such as SECUREit which will help users track, analyse and optimise their data usage; the SHAREit app for fast phone-to-phone data transfer capability without the need for Wi-Fi or mobile network; and SYNCit to let users to have a permanent backup of all their data and whilst making it accessible on any device.

Besides the DOit apps, the Lenovo RocStar (A319) also comes preloaded Guvera music app with unlimited streaming features and a library of more than 10 million songs.

Notably, the RocStar (A319) is the second smartphone after the Lenovo A328 to be launched this month under Lenovo's A-Series (Action Series) handsets. Earlier this month, Lenovo launched its A328 smartphone at Rs. 7,299 in India.
