LG recently released a video advertisement for its LG G Flex phablet, which is the company's first curved display smartphone, that features a flexible 6-inch P-OLED display.

The LG G Flex video advertisement boasts of the handset's natural curve, its flexibility and its self-healing functionality. Unfortunately, the video has since been pulled by the company, but we've found the video uploaded by another channel.

The G Flex advertisement shows two friends - 'Danny boy', and the other, unnamed - meeting at a restaurant, celebrating Danny's birthday. The unnamed friend, together with a friend (Ben) who couldn't make it to the birthday party, gifts Danny a LG G Flex phone.

When Danny pulls the G Flex out of its box, his hand turns into a 'phone', featuring a human ear as the earpiece, and a bearded mouth as the mouthpiece. The beard is Ben's, who is calling to wish Danny a happy birthday, seemingly indicating the phone is so human it morphs into the caller. The conceit is taken further when Danny feeds Ben's mouth some cake, and at the end of the advertisement, when Danny is shown talking to his girlfriend. The hand is again seen with an ear and a girl's mouth, which Danny proceeds to kiss.

The video also shows that Ben is calling from a beach, when a crab's claw coming out of the handset to scratch Danny's hand, which is later seen healing by itself, indicating the G Flex's 'self-healing' technology.

All these elements were used by LG to depict the advertisement's tagline for the G Flex, "The Most Human Phone Ever."
