Micromax's Yu Televentures brand has slashed the price of the Yureka Plus, making the smartphone Rs. 1,000 cheaper than its launch price. Micromax's Yu Yureka Plus will be now available at Rs. 8,999, down from its launch price tag of Rs. 9,999.

The company made the announcement via its Twitter and Facebook pages on Monday, and the new price is already visible on Amazon India, the company's official online partner. The price cut on the Yureka Plus (Review) comes just within two weeks of launch, and seems to be a desperate move by the company to keep the smartphone relevant against the likes of the Lenovo K3 Note and recently launched Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen).
