Motorola X rumoured to have 4.8-inch screen, 2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor

Motorola and its alleged X smartphone have been getting a lot of attention of lately. PhoneArena.com has been tipped by an anonymous tipster regarding the specifications of Motorola X smartphone.

As per this new leak, Motorola X will pack in 4.8-inch screen of unknown resolution. Considering most flagships launching off late have a full-HD display, Motorola X may sport the same. The website further claims that the screen of Motorola X will come with sapphire glass that is three times harder to crack than Gorilla Glass.

PhoneArena.com claims that Motorola X will come with a 2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 4000 mAh battery. There are also indications that it will be a water-proof smartphone. It is being touted that this device will be launched in November 2013, just before the holiday season.

There have been plenty of speculations being made in regards to the Motorola X smartphone. A week ago, Guy Kawasaki, who has recently joined Motorola, had posted video on his Google+ about customisable cars and shared "Wouldn't it be great if you could personalise your phone like this?" This had sparked the rumour regarding Motorola X smartphone being customisable.

There were also rumours regarding the Motorola X Phone being a brand and approach that includes user-defined configurations for colour, storage capacity, ringtones, apps and more. As per news report by AndroidAndMe, Motorola X Phones is brand that the company will be launching to counter competition from Samsung's Galaxy series and LG's Optimus series.

There have also been news reports in the past that suggest that Motorola X smartphone will be the first smartphone to run on the next version of Android OS - Android Key Lime Pie.

Guess one will have to wait a little longer to know the mystery behind the Motorola X and whether it is just a phone or a brand and if it is indeed a smartphone, then what are its exact specifications
