A new Google ad campaign reportedly being aired in the US indicates that the company is gearing up for the launch of the upcoming Nexus smartphone and tablet, alongside the public release of the next Android version, currently codenamed Android L. Additionally, HTC's Senior Global Online Communications Manager, Jeff Gordon, has tweeted about the receipt of a mysterious box that is likely to contain the anticipated Nexus 9.

Three Google video advertisements feature the tagline, "Android be together. Not the same", have surfaced on the Internet - tipping an imminent launch of the rumoured Nexus 6 aka Nexus X alongside the Nexus 9 and Android L. First reported by Android Police, the Google ad campaign videos were spotted by a few Google+ users.

Notably, the videos were accompanied with a link to a page on the Android site that is currently not live and can be expected to go live only after Google's official announcement. Interestingly, one of the ad videos shows a handset which is reminiscent of the long-rumoured Nexus 6 or Nexus X (codenamed 'Shamu') with Android L style navigation controls. The purported smartphone seen in this video (below) shows a man holding a device that has a long form factor and the video also includes a tagline saying, "All kinds of phones for all kinds of folks."

Another video advertisement (below) shows a group of people travelling in a bus with loud music playing and two people can be seen holding a smartphone, in all possibility the Nexus 6 or Nexus X, while one person is holding a tablet, expected to be the Nexus 9 tablet built by HTC. Notably, the driver of the bus can be seen wearing a smartwatch, which hints that Google is not leaving any stone unturned to promote its Android Wear platform alongside.

The last Google video advertisment is from a 'Dance Party' that shows a man playing loud music through speakers via his connected smartphone (again in all probability the Nexus 6).

In other news, HTC's Jeff Gordon, tweeted an image of a box sealed and packed and said, "something amazing, beautiful and highly confidential just arrived." The box is speculated to contain the Nexus 9 tablet.

Last week, one of HTC's executives 'confirmed' that the yet-to-be-launched Nexus 9 would mark "HTC's commitment" to the tablet market after almost three years. Meanwhile, another report claimed that HTC Nexus 9 tablet will launch at $399 on October 15, and go on sale November 3.

Google has been tight-lipped about the launch of the upcoming Nexus devices; however, recent reports have suggested the devices might be released in mid-October (October 15 or 16). In addition to the Nexus 6 aka Nexus X, Google is also expected to debut the next Nexus tablet believed to be manufactured by HTC, along with the general release of Android L.
