Nokia XL Now Officially Available in APAC and IMEA Regions

Nokia has announced that the biggest member of the Nokia X Android smartphone range, the Nokia XL, will now be officially available in APAC (Asia-Pacific) and IMEA (India, Middle East & Africa) regions starting Wednesday.

However, the Nokia XL is not currently available in the Indian market. Nokia India has confirmed to NDTV Gadgets that the device's availability and price for India is yet to be finalised, and will be announced soon.

Nokia's official Conversations blog claims that the Nokia XL will be available starting Wednesday at a EUR 109 (Rs. 9,100 approximately) MSRP, excluding local taxes and subsidies.

The Nokia XL was announced alongside the Nokia X and Nokia X+ at MWC. In March, at the Nokia X (Review | Pictures) launch in India, the company had announced that the Nokia X+ and Nokia XL would be launched within the next two months.

Notably, Nokia will be announcing the dual-SIM variant of the Nokia XL in India which has been listed on Nokia online store since the device's MWC announcement.

The Nokia XL with a 5-inch display is the largest in the Nokia X Android smartphone family, bearing a larger display than the 4-inch Nokia X and Nokia X+ smartphones. The Nokia XL runs the Nokia X software platform (version 1.0), which is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and is powered by Microsoft and Nokia services.

The smartphone features a 5-inch LCD display with WVGA (480x800 pixels) resolution, and offers a pixel density of 187ppi. The Nokia XL is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, clocked at 1GHz, alongside 768MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage and supports expandable storage up to 32GB via microSD card.

The XL sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also houses a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone packs a 2000mAh battery which is rated to deliver up to 16 hours of talk time and up to 720 hours of standby time. The Nokia XL will be available in Bright Green, Orange, Cyan, Yellow, Black and White colour variants.

The Nokia XL Dual SIM comes preloaded with Nokia MixRadio and other social apps such as Facebook, Twitter, WeChat, Viber, and Skype.
