Samsung had announced that the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Grand Duos would be released shortly in India.

It seems that the update for the device is finally out now and Galaxy Grand Duos users in India can update their device to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Fonearena first reported about the rollout of the update for the Galaxy Grand Duos. The device can be updated via over-the-air (OTA) and also via Samsung's PC companion app, Kies. The update for the Galaxy Grand is about 490MB and brings an improved version of TouchWiz UI as well, notes the site.

The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update will bring new features like dedicated toggles menu in the status bar, Daydream screensaver mode, lock screen widgets, improved task switching and some performance enhancements. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos is expected to get some new goodies on the TouchWiz side from the flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S4, like the new widgets and home screen.
